De Poortere Deco is internationally recognized as a leader in woven home decoration textiles based on chenille. The textiles are flat, feel soft like velvet and have breath sheen. The various concepts contain: • beautiful cushions, throws and decorative rugs for floor, corridor and wall • table-cloth and table-runners • decorative borders for carpets with sisal-look • bedspreads and bed-mats The textiles belonging to a concept, may have the same colors and similar designs and are well selected to fit with each other.
De Poortere Deco has the same shareholders as the group Louis De Poortere, manufacturer of woven pure wool rugs and solid carpets. Since three years, the company has become fully independent. The mill is situated in Mouscron and owns a surface area of more than 10.000 m² next to the site of Louis De Poortere. As a spin-off company from the group De Poortere Frères, a very large manufacturer of fabrics, the company had the advantage to start immediately from an experienced platform and a network of worldwide contacts.
